Each year, starting in the fall, the Cape Verdean-Jewish Passover Seder is organized by a planning committee of both Cabo Verdean and Jewish volunteers, led by Cabo Verdean and Jewish co-chairs, all committed to continuing the bridge-building begun in 2006. They have ranged in age from high school students (Several years ago a high school student was a co-chair.) to people in their seventies. Since the planning meetings became virtual, starting in 2020, our meetings have involved people in Cabo Verde, Portugal, California, Florida, Georgia, and Indiana, as well as people in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The Seder event itself is led by a Jewish and a Cabo Verdean emcee.
